The Automotive Industry Institute PIMOT® was found by Polish Council of Ministers in 1972, as the automotive industry Research and Development unit.

PIMOT`s lines of activity cover scientific, R&D works and automotive products testing services. Institute is a separate and independent unit. It makes an unquestionable basic for impartiality of its opinion and test result obtained.

The scope of activities of the Quality Centre include:
  • International type-approval of vehicle parts and accessories to UN-ECE regulations - (E) and EC-directives (e)
  • Certification of automotive products for:
    • "safety mark", voluntary
    • mark of conformity with Polish Standards
    • mark of conformity with other standards and normative documents
  • Certification of armoured bank vehicles and cash carrying vehicles for conformity of such vehicles with the regulations laid down by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration
  • Certification of automotive vehicle repair and maintenance services within the scope of:
    • Car body repairs
    • Car body painting
    • Mechanical repair and maintenance work
    • Other work

Accreditation Certificate No. AC 001 issued by the Polish Centre for Accreditation.

 

License No. PN 013 issued by the Polish Committee for Standardization.
